[webmasterworld.com...] Post I made on becoming more self reliant.

[foxnews.com...] Europe coping with the crisis trying to stay afloat.

[bloomberg.com...] Intresting read in Bloomberg

Most people don't know the US cattle herd is at 1954 levels.
[online.wsj.com...]

Population in US in 1954 158 mil. today 250 mil. You do the math and beef is a big export for Texas.

Since my post I have gotten more than I can count doing the garden thing.

In WWII people didn't have yards they had gardens for a yard.

Washington State is complaining they lost 250 million in crops because they couldn't get the labor to do the work and wanted relaxed immigration laws to get people in that would work. Did I mention Washinton St has almost 11% unemployed. The US is in a sad state of affairs when people refuse to work because it is work so they wait in line or the mail box for relief.

Am I worried about the future sure I have children and grandkids I worry for them, I am trying to be as prepared as I can be for them.

Does the welfare system recognise the concept of casual work or does a couple of weeks fruit picking then mean weeks without money as you reapply?
