Heard about Project Glass [plus.google.com] yet?

Supposedly the head of Google, Brin himself, has been seen wearing these Google Glasses at a party [marketingland.com].

If these things are real, and it sure looks like it could be coming soon, these Glasses combined with an Android phone could finally be the ultimate iPhone killer Google has been wanting.

Especially if they're smart and only make those Glasses work in conjunction with Android devices they could have a temporary lock on the market for the real gizmo freaks, like me.

I want Google Glasses and a self-driving Google car and I want them NOW dammit!

However, if I can't get the Google Car any time soon, getting driving directions right in your glasses could be pretty dang cool while we wait on the car.

Communication glasses figure in a science fiction movie produced by John Woo (Face/Off) called Appleseed Ex Machina. It's a good movie. Should watch it just to see what those glasses can do.

its kind of hard to believe its actually going to work like in that register.co.uk video. a heads-up display for your eyes? that still seems like science-fiction to me. very impressive if it does work though.

So much for any sense of privacy if those things become wide spread. Whether you wear them or not you will be recorded on camera the moment you walk out your door if anyone around you is wearing those things.
