I've never bought anything but round-trip flight tickets and have no idea how to get a deal on the web that includes stops in other places.

Any ideas of how to do this? I've been searching for one-way tickets but they're so much more expensive.

I need to get from LA to toronto, then Boston, then LA.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Well, you'll almost certainly not find the kinds of deals doing that that you will with a simple round trip, but you should be able to price the tickets anyway. For example, I usually use Travelocity, and once you're on the "flights" page there's a link that reads "My trip includes multiple destinations." Choose that and you are taken to a different page than usual, where you can enter all of the cities you want to go to. I imagine the other services have the same kind of setup.

You also might want to consider going back to LA via Toronto. That is, price two round trip tickets; LA/Toronto and Toronto/Boston. Compare that total price to the best you can do with your three-point LA/Toronto/Boston itinerary. If you manage to get a really good deal on one or both of those round trips, the total could end up being better than for the more direct trip.
