So I 've been asked to give a presentation for a group of children for our company's "bring your kids to work day" event. It will be about 30-40 kids between 9-15 years old and be about 30-45 minutes.

So I said if I were between 9-14 what would i find interesting?

Listening to some guy talk about how he got into webmastering ... nah...

Watching some guy type code and make a page to sell widgets... nah ...

Listening to some guy talk about the ongoing google dance ...nah...

Anybody got any ideas?

Music sites for the 11-14 crowd, free games to play online, how to set up your own email account using something like Hotmail, how to search for what interests you using Google, Magic cards sites, how to make a web site of your own.

My kids also got a kick out of [oinkernet.com...] It's a broadcast of somebody's guinea pigs.

<Spur of the moment thoughts:>

show fireworks saftey tips

how-to-search for something (be brief)
then have a series of quizmo quizzes
(do you have enough computers, maybe do teams)

show some sports teams sites (Go Canucks Go!)

show them McDonalds site, A & W

(the 15 year olds probably could show you a couple of things ;))

anything on NASA worth looking at?
