Ok, so here is what is going on...
I have basic cable internet access...
I do not have cable tv programming, nor satellite... (I don't like my kids watching too much TV!)
I like to stream live sporting events to my laptop on the weekends...and my kids watch Netflix on the WII.
Just this last weekend, i hooked up my laptop to my TV to watch the NFL games during thanksgiving...pretty nice, of course it was streaming quality... but OK...
I have an old PC outside I could just permanently hook up to my TV for internet streaming and such, but I would need to get a wireless mouse and keyboard..
Which would also allow me to do basic Internet browsing on the TV as well... not bad IMO...
(its an old Dell Inspiron desktop)
Why pay for TV when almost everything online is free right...
but all of the gadgets associated are bogging me down... PC, Laptop, WII, phones..etc.etc...
What are you doing with your entertainment experience?
What are you using?
How do you have it set up...?
Just curious... I dont want to go and get too deep if some collaborative system exists out there...
