I am helping a friend get his feet wet in web development. He is a really nice guy, smart, and talented. That said he also as we all do have some ,hmmm polite way to say this, shortcomings.
He called me up the other day and asked me if a bid of 100.00 was too much for a two letter .com domaiin. It is the first two letters of his domain. I said dude you serious, and he said what think that is to much. I said probably not. He asked me how to best find out who owns it told him again 3rd time I think. Calls me back and ask you think I should email him or call, I said call but before you make a price ask him what he wants for it. All excited he said yea maybe I can get it cheaper. I thought oh yea.
Can't wait till I hear back from him on this.
