Spillane won gold thanks to a powerful sprint in the 7.5 km cross-country race after finishing fourth in the earlier K120 ski jump.

Nordic skiing is something the US generally doesn't do well in the world cup or Olymics. Congrats Johnny! Let hope he can do it again in the Olympics!

That's pretty nifty. SteamBoat is just prime ground for raising a ski champion. As crowded as the high mountains are getting, I think we'll have a bright future in snow related sports. Maybe we can compete with northern Europe.
