where do you get your best ideas?

I just had an epiphany - an idea for a website that has viral potential. Got it while cycling through the countryide. Saw a field of cows, made a connection with something my daughter said last year, put two and two together, boom, I've got an idea for a new website in my niche that nobody else has done.

Then I realized that two of the last three good ideas I've had have actually come while out biking. Seems the peace and quiet is conducive for thinkin'.

Do you folks have some place where your best thinking gets done?

It used to be I'd sit on the front porch and smoke... and smoke... and smoke somemore. Nowadays, sitting there to chew some gum just doesn't get the ideas flowing.

I used to and smoke... and smoke... and smoke some more... and get GREAT ideas --- but due to the nature of the stuff I was smoking, I'd go to get a pen to write down the great idea, stop at the refrigerator, have a snack, forget I was looking for a pen, then forget the idea, then forget why I was in the kitchen, then go and smoke some more.

But I had some great ideas! (I think).

...well I had some good snacks anyway.

Always in the bath, after a fierce workout. The combination of blood flowing to my brain and relaxation is practically guaranteed. I have more ideas than I know what to do with. Picking the best ones, though, that's the killer.

@lexipixel ahh - the munchies - big distraction - best keep a notebook handy. Loads of ideas but life is too short , would be nice to have somewhere to post ideas in exchange for 10% of equity !
