How many people do you think are living off world?

Now here's an off the wall random foo for you...

Arguably the best view and the quietest neighbors would belong to a 'home' in space and because of how humans behave you KNOW some special people are living out there right now. It makes one wonder if space travel and regular people taking a low orbit space trip will be delayed for decades, if not centuries, to protect the secrets currently in space.

I mean we're not sending up an average of three fully loaded rockets a day (Nasa article I read a few months ago) and not building something for someone.

Sounds crazy? Sure but it's bound to happen eventually. How many would you guess may be off planet now, and from which branches of government did they come from (or buy off?) :-)

lol Sgt_Kickaxe, dang you, do you know how difficult it is for me to stay out of these types of posts?! I'll have to sit on my hands so I don't get my knuckles rapped again ;)

Minus anyone in the ISS, there are zero Earth humans living in space. It would be more valuable for a country to brag that someone is in space then it is to hide that fact.

There will be people there in the future when we start mining the moon and asteroids for precious metals.

OK I'm weak, I'll bite.

Physically I don't think there are any out there that we are unaware of except those that voluntarily strap themselves to those rockets in the spirit of human yearning. 'Cept for maybe a few monkeys and rats.

However it isn't necessary to travel "out there" physically. It can be, and is done metaphysically. While trying to explore space NASA is going in the wrong direction. Put on the reverse thrusters and go inward, in meditation. There are many travelers "out there", among the greatest population of them are Buddhists.

Consciousness wheel, consciousness. If you cannot appreciate something you don't understand it is better not to comment about it.

I think this discussion is providing evidence that some people do live off planet.

My conciousness was quite happily heading out towards the greater Magellanic cluster when it accidentally got sucked into a micro worm hole and is now stranded on the expanding edge of our universe. The cuttlefish people who inhabit the dark matter in this area have picked up and amplified wifi signals from earth so that I can log into WebmasterWorld. Due to the limiting factors of the speed of radio waves they actually receive it 2 million years in their future and we are squirting this reply back using a tachyion array and a temporal displacement field.

I can confirm that you are wrong about the Buddhists there are none of them out here, just a thriving expat community of atheists.
BTW I don't like the look of the universe next door...
