You can buy a car online?
I've just gone to four dealerships and have discovered that 75% of car salespeople are complete asses.

Is that because you didn't meet the other 25%?

Cars can be bought. Most of the time those buyers appear on Judge Judy (or Judge Joe Brown, or ...)

One of them actually gave me a price when I asked.
If the price online was similiar, I'd do it in a heartbeat, bypass the sleazy sales in an instant.
And I say that coming from an industry of sleazy salespeople.

Internet car shopping can work. I was going back and forth over the internet with the salesman about the car I'm driving now. We were only slightly apart on the price. I ended up calling him and had the price nailed down (split the difference) within 15 seconds.

We negotiated our last car over email as well, but it was 2 years old, not new. Same thing, got so far, called and gave them my final price and they took it.
Haven't yet bought a new car from start to finish of the web. Just goes to show how some industries are still in the 1950's.

Funny, same thing I've found. I was trying to avoid the sales people altogether. They don't know anything about their products and get real frustrated too, which is funny to me.

I really don't mind negotiating with asses since I know I can out-ass just about any of them. :)
