Tiny Belly ads front for a billion-dollar diet scam

Just thought some of you AdSense publishers might want to be aware of this in case they want to block them though I'm not sure if they even run anymore. I say might want to block them because of the potential negative press this will generate and it may become a reflection of your site by association.

The ubiquitous “1 Tip for a Tiny Belly” online ads are a front for a billion-dollar diet scam the U.S. government has been fighting for months to shut down, an investigation reports.

The ads, which look hand-drawn and pop up almost everywhere, promise to reveal an old secret that will turn you into a bikini babe.

Google ads with those claims appear on numerous sites, including the Star’s heathzone.ca site (the newspaper site where this story is taken from) [healthzone.ca...]

yea i see those all over the place! those are right up there with the dancing people insurance ads.

Same thing with the Acai berries scam. A lot of stupid people out there for it to work. They're promoted by an army of shady affiliates, all using different domains, etc. Very hard to block, unless you sign out of the diet category altogether with adsense. I'm not sure why google allow these things, they're destroying the already fragile trust people have with online ads.
