While looking through several years of vacation photos I noticed that I appeared older in the more recent ones as opposed to the earlier ones. Eureka! It hit me. I found the secret of aging.

Read somewhere recently: "Don't complain about aging, some people don't even have that chance".

I did. Plans are already in place. I'm surprised you didn't figure it out yet.

I just want to catch the grey haired middle aged guy who jumps up in front of me whenever I look in the bathroom mirror.

This is actually known! (but we can't do it yet) The secret of not ageing is to trick your chromosomes into not shedding the progerin-triggering parts as cells divide (there is a part of chromosomes that, when shorter, sends signals for progerin to be created - which scientists believe is what produces or accelerates ageing).

Too late for me I am afraid. :(

The 100% effective way to stop ageing is to die. Anything else is a con (until science catches up with aspirations).
If immortality ever becomes possible it will be available only to the few who can afford it. The masses would not be allowed this facility without compulsory sterilisation or the planet would be bursting at the seams within a couple of generations.
I suspect that there well may be immortals amongst us, they may have been with us for centuries, but they would have to keep a low profile and restrict the serum (or procedure)to the chosen few.

Since the photos were all taken on vacation, the reason for my aging is obvious. I already cancelled next year's vacation plans.

Alice felt even more indignant at this suggestion. ‘I mean,’ she said, ‘that one can't help growing older.’
‘One can’t, perhaps,’ said Humpty Dumpty, ‘but two can. With proper assistance, you might have left off at seven.’

Growing older is compulsory Growing up is optional
