The Orange County Association of Realtors has filed a grievance against an Irvine real estate broker who writes a blog that takes critical looks at the housing crash, homebuyers and real estate agents.

really the only thing they've got on him is the use of the MLS photo's and that's week at best as long as he takes down the photos. other than that there's nothing they can do to him since he's not a REALTAR (spelled incorrectly on purpose).

Oh, I've read that guy's blog! He's good. And a needed corrective to the hype coming out of the National Association of Realtors.

Years ago I was at a bar with some SEOs and we were talking about which types of clients we would never take and I said there were only two areas I would never work in: pron and real estate.

What an industry.

Larry's just as dirty as what he purports to take offense at... basically he's a shill.

Also subjects of the grievance were real estate agent Shevy Akason and broker Tina Rector. Akason, who works at Evergreen Realty, advertises on Roberts’ blog and pays him for referrals. Rector is Evergreen’s founding broker.

Akason sent OCAR a response saying while he occasionally writes a guest post in the blog about the market and sometimes submits observations, he has no control over the blog’s overall contents..


He sells advertising and works with a REALTURd

For every buyer side of a deal, there is a seller side... and it will be a real estate agent/broker in most cases.

I have local real estate agents who pays for display advertising on one of my sites -- I was just discussing with one of them if I should or shouldn't write about foreclosures and how house prices continue to fall, (I didn't want to paint the local r.e. market poorly and have them pull their ads). They said they don't care -- for every seller there's a buyer, and vice-versa.
