I just received yet another of the Nigeria 419 scam emails, and it struck me that if you managed to get them to call you back at an highly priced number, it might be possible to cheat the cheaters, making them pay high phone bills of which you as the recipient of the calls get a part. A bit like all the sex and chat lines that charge exorbitant rates, only this will be in the service of mankind.
Are they likely to call you back, if you reply to the email? Any experiences out there?
How difficult is it to set up such a telephone line and have it routed to you own phone? I wouldn't mind spending a few minutes chatting to such a fellow, if he'd pay me a few $$ a minute for it :)

But do take care. They may not take kindly to be being conned.

'then i realized i was talking to someone who would likely slit my throat without thinking twice, should it appear a worthwhile opportunity'
just don't let them trace the 900 number back to you :)
