Here's the gizmo quiz item:

[incredibill.net...]

The first to correctly identify the gizmo wins a fun-filled no-expenses-paid day of hosting the gizmo quiz again next Saturday.

Good luck.

The [Original] gizmo quiz rules

1. It must be about some gizmo.

2. The game must be confirmed by it's host 24 hours in advance.

3. The game must be posted when it is Saturday somewhere on Earth.

4. The current winner must have priority on hosting the next game.

5. If the winner declines to host the next game, the current host should pick which volunteer (within participants of the week) will host the next game.

6. Of course, no one can be forced to host the gizmo quiz.

7. The first player to get 10 points wins the Platinum Geek Award (whatever that is... ) All scores will reset to zero, and we begin a new contest.

Last fun video for this gizmo: [youtube.com...]

That's still too vague Bill. It's obviously alcohol related though. I'm on this and that guy just had a garden hose running up the back of his leg.

These are all alcohol though.

Is that a device where you can just inject yourself with JD Black Label and skip drinking altogether. Just do an IV drip and get drunk real fast?

No, that'd be medical.

<weeps>

If there were only real beer drinkers on WebmasterWorld

People from the original PubCon probably would've gotten this on the first clue.

@wyweb, so close but you keep TAP dancing (pun intended) around this simple answer.

@bunltd or what exactly do you think a Beer-inator is?

Looking for one word here...

ROFLMFAO....

I've gotta get to work man. I got a paying gig now and I've laid around all day.

Somebody nail this one down.

bunltd you're on top of it. I think you are anyway.

Bring it on home.

Some kind of spigot device or a beer widget?

beer widget

DING DING DING! we have winner, Leosghost.

It's a beer widget for can of Tetley's Smooth, the last video clue was a complete giveaway.

Starting up a new Gizmo Quiz I picked this gizmo for 2 reasons:

1. To pay homage to WebmasterWorld, I figured what a better gizmo than our ever discussed and site-wide overstuffed keyword: WIDGET

2. To pay homage to PubCon, I figured what better kind of a widget than a BEER WIDGET!

So there you have it, Gizmo Quiz done, LeosGhost the winner and also LeosgHOST for next weeks!

CYA!

Sorry I couldn't get in earlier (wouldn't have guessed it anyway). Looked like a plastic prototype alternative to a tin foil hat to meż
Well done, Leosghost!
Time for a beer......Oh, no it's not, it's 8:30 am :(

I thought it was some sort of marital aid.

Any real beer drinker would never know what a beer widget looked like because it is used to give artificial froth to artificial beer. My tipples are Real ale or original Guinness in a bottle. Beers that use the widget are from the dark side.

well done leosghost!

@Bill: I found the Guiness rocket one, but not the one you posted.

And a beer-inator would have to be anything that helps you make, locate or consume beer. (see Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz and his -inators)

Actually, I never looked at any of your videos Bill ( sorry ..I'll go look later, or on Monday ;-))..I had so many tabs open on Opera that I knew if I went to Youtube I'd crash the box and have to start an important download again ..

But it did look like the sort of thing made from " food grade" polypropylene.. 's why I asked "plumbing" ( should have asked "liquids" ) ..but I was busy on another box trying to force "permissions" for local playback in "flash dev" in .cfg on win7 ( deep joy ) and only looking in occasionally ..

When I saw you had written "beer",( and read beerinator from bunltd ) I figured..HAH ! home brew paraphernalia ..and wrote "spigot" and hit submit, before thinking wait a minute "pressure" may mean widget ( doesn't look at all like the Guinness or even the rocket widget ) and it looks like it might be designed to influence the flow of liquid to swirl via the concertina like guides in the top part ..

And of course "widget" it had to be given "context" and your well known preferred pastime ;-)

Even so I tend to agree with Old_Honky

I'm sort of ashamed to have got it ;-)..I too prefer Guinness..and technically it took me 2 guesses including "spigot" ..

That said ..I'll host the next one ..given the time differences ..however should we start and finish them based on Pacific time ? I'm currently on GMT+2.
