If they were faking *information* you could just apply one of the existing mail filtering packages to handle this junk mail without hurting real Yahoo! mail users.

Every so often, about 3 times a year, I get popped with some bounce backed mail for a 2-3 day period, mail that I dinna originate. I can't stop a spoofer to my knowledge so I quit worrying about the b-backs. Now, these are just filtered to a trash folder. Most spam is as well.
Yahoo catches the bulk of it and stuffs it in the appropriately named bulk folder. The little bit that gets by my filters and the yahoo prefilters is just sent to trash unopened.
Free email is free email. While free ain't always free, yahoo hasn't been a problem for me.
