Chain emails dying?

Since Facebook & Twitter got popular I haven't seen many...

Anyone else notice that there really aren't many emails going around saying "Forward this email to 200 people or die tomorrow", or "Little Timmy is going to die next week unless you send money for his surgery." It must be because Facebook and Twitter are so popular and that must be where people are posting that type of thing - and getting blocked. :)

Or the ones that "warn" you that some key part of your operating system is actually a virus and you should delete it at once.

As I don't use either FB or Twitter I couldn't possibly comment but it sounds like a convincing theory to me.
