Thinking about moving to DENVER!

Anyone in the web world have some advice about working in Denver, freelancing, living, etc? I am a fairly new web developer (html,css,php,jquery).

I currently live in Austin, TX and have my eye on Denver. Austin is very, very saturated when it comes to tech/web savvy folks and is becoming pretty competitive.

My son and his family live there, so I've spent a lot of time looking at the business/living scene over the past 12 years.

The tech world is about the same as where I live, which is Chicago. That is to say, not incredibly saturated, but no wasteland either, something inbetween.

It seems to me pretty much two worlds: either you are part of the outdoors/mountain scene or you aren't. If you are, it can be very pricy.

People are nice, but drivers are crazy.
