Hi guys

I was hoping some of you could help me with a bit of information. Im gonna be moving to the uk at the end of march…but my main concern at the moment has to do with the market for what I do…so I was wondering if any of you could give me an idea of what the market is like over there for internet marketing/design/SEO positions etc?

I know the uk is huge that is why I didn’t put any specific regions down…im actually trying to decide where about im gonna be. That is why I posted this thread to find out where the biggest market is:)

Thanks guys

Angel

Leeds is a top City - Moved here in 95 and have been happy as Larry ever since. Cheaper than London (2hrs by train). As many Pubs Clubs Bars Restaurants as anyone could ever need. The best shopping I have ever had in one square mile, and a reputation as THE growth city in the UK. Also a stones throw from the Yorkshire dales which takes in some of the best Hiking/walking/adventure in the country

But (as always) the competition for SEO/web based work is highly competitive, as mentioned before its the number of post grads and students willing to work for peanuts (that's me :))

Another place I would recommend would be Bristol - Very cool city and close to Newquay(best surf in the UK) and the south/London. But more expensive than Leeds.

<added> this reads a little like tourist information - Maybe I'm in the wrong business ;)</added>

Visit you relatives in London and then travel around a bit to get the feel of the UK.

Most areas have good and bad things to say about them.

I am now based in Lancashire (near Manchester) and love it - I have spent time in London and hated it. Others will have directly opposing views.

Point is, you have to see for yourself.
