Anybody Ski Whistler/Blakcomb?

What's it like there in April?

Thinkin' about taking a PSIA (Ski Instructor Organization) out there in April. What's it like that time of year? Any other PSIA folks on this board?

By then it is pretty warm in vancouver. I am not really sure what the temp is up in whistler then, not too cold for sure.

I wonder what their snow will be like by then, it is not that great now as it is.

I don't know about W/B in April, but I have been in December.

W/B is the best skiing in North America. I am a boarder and I will go back there someday. When I was there, there was about 48" base and it snowed almost the whole time I was there.

The community is great. And I heard there is great mountain biking in warmer weather, so maybe you can get some of that if you like

Its the dogs! Whistler in April is better than the Southern French Alps in April (and that is a compliment!). Usually fantastic conditions. Sun, powder (hopefully) and less crowds. Bring it on.

whistler should be great in April - that's actually when I was thinking about taking a trip out there too;) because isn't Lennart's Internet Marketing Conference held in April in Vancouver too? thinking combining the trips would be a good idea, but W/B is also holding the Global Winter X Games Champs in May, so they must be planning on having good snow, that might be fun to go to as well. They usually ski the glacier right into August, too.

It was in Vancouver in 2002. I think it is in Montreal this year (another great Canadain city!).

I may be wrong, but I would hate to see you book a trip and not get what you want.

thanks for the info shane, i just assumed it was Vancouver every year - you're right though - the website says May 12-14th - and Montreal is much closer for me, too!

but the W/B XGames event is May 15-18th - that would be some serious traveling in the same week!
