What's the difference between Ipod and Ipood?

The iPood, a small spade used by Aussie campers to bury their #*$!, has a new name following an intervention by Apple lawyers.

In a letter to the iPood makers, Apple's legal eagles said: "iPood is clearly similar to Apple's iPod, there being merely a single letter difference."

That could have been worded better, don't you think?

LOL
Extra munny for the legal team, methinks.
Can you imagine the whoops of joy when they have to put that success in front of Steve.

What it's indicating is that almost anything with an 'i' in front of it may be on the radar.

The lower case 'i' is a dead giveaway that they are playing off of Apple's familiar 'i' branding. If it was only Pod vs. Pood then this would be a little ridiculous, but iPod vs. iPood is close enough to warrant a name change. Besides, why would a spade be called an iPood anyway?

Because of what that particular spade is intended for ...

Hmmm...maybe it's an English/Ozzie expression? I think it's a great name and describes perfectly what one did :-)

Who would pay money for something like this no matter what it is named. I have always used a stick (to dig the hole I mean).

Look out IMAX! Well, as long as they don't use iMAX they may be okay.

We dig slit trenches, 4 ft long, 4 ft deep and 1 ft wide. That little spade would break on such a task; one needs a real shovel. No matter, poo should always be buried deeper than what that device looks good for. Might as well just cover it with leaves.... or the iPood.

The iPood is not merely similar to iPod, but deliberately so, almost certainly in the expectation of attracting a response, and therefore publicity.

I agree... both deal with the poo side of things. :)

Put me down as a non-subscriber of iPods...
