Google, Yahoo & Bing unavailable.

Have google, yahoo & others been hacked?

For at least the last hour or two here (central U.S.A.) I have been having great difficulty getting google or yahoo to load (got google once, and yahoo once, all other attempts are failing), and other sites which are reliant upon them (analytics, scripts, yui, etc) are hanging badly unable to load from google or yahoo. Anyone else experiencing this? Sites with no reliance upon those are loading fine. Wondering if this is some sort of web-attack upon the big search engines?

No problem in UK but I guess different data centres are involved.

It's bizarre, I've never experienced anything like this before. About 20 minutes ago I managed to get google to load, but have not been able to get them or yahoo or bing since. I can't believe nobody else experiencing this, maybe they all think their internet is totally down (was what I thought at first) and shut their browsers down.

They're all working fine on the east coast. Gut check says you have something on your machine that's blocking them all.

DNS problems with your ISP?

If many sites are unavailable, and I suspect it's to do with the ISP, I run the target site through sites such as validator.w3.org.
