Totally unrelated to webmastery...

My kid is interested in exchanging letters with a pen pal. She's 7.

If you know a little girl who is also 7 (approx), for exchange of handwritten letters (not email? gasp!), sticky me and we'll exchange addresses.

It would be cool to hook her up with someone far away across the world. We're in Canada. English language only please.

My littluns are much younger than that, but I just wanted to say that I think its a really great thing you are doing. She'll probably be one of the only ones in her generation that will have firsthand knowledge of how everyone communicated before the web. Grade A parenting!

My wife, a teacher suggest she ask her teacher. She feels that the request is timeless, the school most likely maintains a quality list.

Thanks - we've found a penpal on the other side of the globe! She's excited & I'm thankful. Cheers ~

The penpal is my daughter. She is really excited about it as well.

We are literally most of the way around the world. It will be interesting to see how they explain the huge differences in their lives and the cultures they live in to each other. To take a trivial example my daughter has not experienced winter since she was a few months old.

My wife is still in touch with one of her childhood pen pals. They met only once when she came to our wedding (although we were living in London at the time, so it was just a hop across the channel).
