Privacy issues on the web don't creep me out

I had not heard of Face.

The facial recognition technology that powers Face.com is now available to third-party developers. Those who are interested in using it inside of their applications will be able to take advantage of an open API that the company is making public Monday morning....

The Face API will also pool together its index of tags, meaning that if it recognizes your face from use in one app, it can recognize it another. There are some very clear privacy issues here, but opening up a tool like this to a wider set of data and applications can make for some very neat applications....

You can block Face.com from storing your information by:

(2) Request us to block information about you, using this form; however, in this case, we will still retain some information about you, including your User Id and a unique identifier.


Wow, thanks! So you're not really removing anything then, are you?

Pretty sure in a few years everyone will be able to find anyone. Basically, if you've been in a picture at some point it'll be online somewhere and tagged.
