That is pretty neat, and like you mentioned would be perfect for traveling. The conventional 3-pin plug is always a tight fit in a laptop bag.

Having just stuffed a power lead into a laptop bag that clearly wasn't designed to contain a 3 pin plug all I can say is that the sooner these go into production the better.
Also switching from 35mm film to a digital camera means that I now end up with the battery charger and 3pin plug as a permanent resident in my camera bag, I think most photographers will be customers as well.

With many large consumer products and white goods, I think i'd prefer the standard chunky plug. It's easy to grip and remove, safely, and would be fine in many apps. For sure, this is perfect for mobile and portable apps where size and weight are important.

Mid-range Nok** mobile phones sold in the UK have been coming with very thin chargers that have a retractable earth pin for several months now.
I have no idea if these are same as those in the video, as I couldn't get rid of the car advert. It filled the screen and obscured the video.
