I've gotten quite a few messages over the past few days informing me of what "cheats" and "liars" from Nigeria have been contacting me by email and how they don't really have access to my "fund," they are only after my money. (Who'd a thunk?)

Fortunately the person sending the email is honest and assures me that for only $480 for the "paper works," I can have the full half-billion dollars that are just waiting for me in Nigeria.

I'd like to believe them, but I just can't accept that all those Generals', Presidents' and doctors' widows were lying to me all along.... ;)

Looks like the scam market is getting a bit competitive, if the Nigerians are starting to cut one another out like that!

If I had the time to play around, I'd e-mail back and tell him that the guy sitting at the computer next to him offered me the same deal, but I would only have to pay $380. There's no reason why we can't use the competition to our advantage and get them to negotiate on price. :)

There is a really great site encouraging people to scambait the scammers.

They do things like request the scammer to call them, costing them long distance. Asking them to send docs to you in the mail, sending emails with a lot of questions.

Just an effort to cost them time and money, making their scams less profitable and more time consuming.

If you search for <snip> you will find the site. On the site is a place where they have gotten their scammer to post a picture of them doing something silly. It is amazing what these scammers will do when they think they have a fish on the hook.
