So we all know that breaking a mirror means 7 years of bad luck. But what if you only break part of the mirror, leaving 90% intact and usable- is the 7 years prorated?

What if you break the remaining part of the mirror again- is that an additional 7 years of bad luck, or is the 2nd 7 years a simultaneous curse (and worse luck)?

Is there a grace period before the bad luck starts, or does it start immediately?

We had 3 ceiling length mirrors removed from our dining room yesterday and the poor contractors had such a hard time removing them. Two of them are in multiple large pieces (and dozens of smaller shards). So we're wondering if they're going to be able to show up today or if they'll be overcome by too much bad luck.

What if you are coming to the end of a period of bad luck? Is that included?
