Just saw a car with Navteq on it and camera on top drive by.

I waved to the car/camera, maybe I'll get on their street view.

I'm in Northern California.

Just thought it was kind of cool, I never seen a streetview car. Was this actually Google? Doesn't Google own Navteq or something?

I don't think it was Google, cause Google already has the streetview for where I was standing when I saw it.

I've see a few Google cars: those I've seen are not marked navteq. I was driving every time, so doing something noteworthy wasn't all that easy without causing a accident. None of them are online yet.

How a Google car looks like in Europe: [farm3.static.flickr.com...] (I've only seen them in red myself, but they exists at least in black and silver as well, all same make and model). There's a whole bunch of them.

Teleatlas does run some motor homes accross Europe doing more or less the same.
They're painted orange, and a couple lives in them for some months on the road as far as I know.

This is what they look like:

One came into my road where I live in Cape Town - cant remember the car type but it was white and was painted with the Google logo etc... no just a sticker.
