If you go to Google and click "I'm feeling lucky" without entering any search phrase some blue numbers show up counting down in seconds, presumably till new years it appears.
Thought it was interesting, do they plan on releasing something then?

I'm guessing millions of geeks will be watching the counter hit zero instead of the ball in New York. :)
Or maybe Google is being used by aliens (ala "Independence Day").

Works here in the UK. Has done for a few days. Need to be on the normal Google home page, not igoogle.
