Question about AIM

I am doing some research here on chat clients. Can't install AIM on Ubuntu, so I thought about asking. Can someone tell me if AIM can still do Voice calls, AIM to AIM? And can it do voice calls to standards PSTN phone numbers?

To get to aim on Linux, try e.g. pidgin
[pidgin.im...]

Voice: no idea whatsoever.
