Change YouTube email without closing Google account?

Google changed account's email, can't change it back!

There are few things as frustrating as a company that changes something without your explicit consent. At some point Google changed my email address to my Gmail one which I have only as a placeholder preventing someone else from signing up and using it. I signed my Yahoo email address up to both YouTube and AdSense. However it is absolutely refusing to let me change my email address back to Yahoo because the accounts are independent of each other. Any and all actions lead to closing the account which leads to closing everything associated with the account; I don't want to close my YouTube account and I don't want to close my AdSense account. I just want all my email notifications going to Yahoo and not Google since I'm not interested in using Gmail. How do I change my email account on YouTube the way it was originally without closing any account and thus losing AdSense or a hundred uploaded videos?

They merged my completely separate YouTube account recently as well. I didn't want the change either, but I understand their reasoning.

You're in a good spot. They have merged your info to an unused Gmail account. Gmail allows forwarding to anywhere. You simply forward the entire account to your preferred provider and you should be fine to continue business as usual.

Thanks Bill. That's a pain to not do it the right way though I guess this will work until they break something else.
