In an interview this week the president of the Jewish Community of Berlin said when asked whether he liked his job: "It was not very often that I liked my work, I am lazy by nature." [in German] [archiv.tagesspiegel.de]

BTW I think he is lying. If not about the fact that he enjoys his job then about his being lazy. (The article mentions his work load.) I am lazy and it shows.

Hmm... so you're saying I should give up on this "designer" business and become a programmer? (Camel Book... that's Perl, not tobacco, right?) Don't think I haven't thought about it... but then I have also though about going to law school.

Now wait, if there is only one definition of a lazy person, it has to be a consultant (like me). I mean, we don't do anything (and mostly wouldn't know how to do anything if we had to), we only tell other people how they should do things. :)

That proves beyond reasonable doubt that you are not lazy by nature. If you were, you would have thought: I really want to know what that is about but canīt be bothered to move the mouse over that link and actually click on it. All you could have done is opened vi and wrote your own UA in perl and have that script process the post.

The really lazy people are not consultants but lecturers. At least consultants tell other people what to do. Lecturers only tell you what you need to know. They talk like you consultants lot by not about doing anything but about little abstract concepts that have absolutely n bearing on reality whatsoever. I really really want to be a lecturer ;)

IMNSHO, that would only prove that I was Geeky Beyond Belief rather than Lazy by Nature.

The fact that I spend all day sitting on my rear in front of a computer, and then go home and spend all evening sitting on my rear in front of a computer proves I'm lazy. My fingers are the only toned muscles in my body, I think.

The fact that I am still remarkably svelte in spite of my laziness and love of cooking proves that I am also Superwoman. (Unless that's just my hubris talking again...)

Consultants aren't lazy, they are the servants of Phil, the Prince of Insufficient Light. That's different.

This statement proves that you are short sighted. Think about it this way. If you had written that UA when you joined WebmasterWorld you would have saved yourself 3076 posts and that number is growing fast. ;)

But that would have cut into the amount of time I can justifiably spend sitting on my rear staring at a computer screen... what would I have done in the time the script spent tending things for me? I might have had to get out of my chair... :(
