From the BBC [news.bbc.co.uk].

I love stories like these - they really brighten my day. :-)

A circus lion went on a night-time odyssey in Germany when thieves stole the van carrying him and then abandoned it after crashing into a road sign.

Police in the western city of Wuppertal later had the van towed away to a depot - unaware that a five-year-old lion called Caesar was inside.

Seems then that both Cops and robbers got the shock of their lives when they looked inside! Lucky Caesar's Salad wasn't on the menu. Lol

Caesar is reported to be "fine" and is due to perform again in Krefeld on Friday.

Who'd be a lion? Involved in a serious road accident and you don't even get a couple of days off. :)

Animals in a circus usually already suffer from a very bad mental health (so bad that it's considered animal cruelty to keep them in a circus by some).
Add in being in a car crash with two lunatics, getting towed by the cops and then you'd expect the lion to behave "normally" -wild animal's normal behavior isn't wanted in a circus- ?

Poor animal, pity he didn't get to play a few hours with the thieves. I'm sure he knows a few games involving claws that nobody ever wants to play with him.
