Okay. I admit it. I have a soft spot in my heart for Cookie Monster.

So, today, when I saw Cookie Monster's big eyes-out-of-kilter forming the "O's" in GOOGLE I did, for a moment, feel a certain . . warm fuzziness.

So, who's your favorite character? Why so?

Me? Mmmmmmmmm . . coooookieszzzzzz . . . gooooood!

Definitely a warn fuzziness for CM also! Oscar too. But I think I'll have to go with Kermit for all around favorite. I could go tree-hugger and say it's because he was green before being green was cool. But I think it's from his all around level-headedness (for the most part0 when everything else is chaos. Especially on The Muppet Show. Plus he did a fine job riding a bike (always a plus in my book.)

Now, if we're going to extend to Muppets in general, I want to cast votes for Statler & Waldorf (the 2 hecklers), as well as Animal (drummer for Electric Mayhem ) on The Muppet Show!

I was always amazed by Kermit's bike riding ability . . like . . "How does he do it, with those skinny legs and all!?". ;)

And, yes, what's not to admire about someone who was green before being green was cool. :) :)

Oscar's grumpiness always reminded me of me in the mornings before I've had coffee so there's this sort of shared affinity thing working. A common grumpiness factor I guess.

Big Bird's good naturedness always struck a chord in me as well. His kindness. His wide-eyed curiosity.

This is as an adult though. As a child who grew up with Sesame Street I think Cookie Monster was always my favorite. I remember liking the Count too. And the "Conjunction junction, what's your function?" song.

I can hear it in my head now...

Cookie Monster doesn't really exist anymore, sorry. He's been changed to Vegetable Monster.

And the "Conjunction junction, what's your function?" song.

School House Rock was a good 5 min show.

Sesame street characters are somewhat weak, but broaden it to the muppets and now you've got something. Pigs in space, Beaker, the Swedish chef, those two old guys in the balconey.......

I wasn't really into Sesame Street when I was younger but I do like Cookie Monster and the Count. The Muppets were better though...especially with Animal on drums.
