So how did the UK's creaking network cope with the match on Saturday?

All that bandwidth.

I meant to post this yesterday.

An estimated 300,000 people watched the match (legally) over the internet on Saturday (well, the official estimate was nearly 500,000, but that included people in cinemas and the troops).

I forgot to go online to see what happned - but did things run slow?

I did check some e-com sites and orders were down slightly on a normal sat evening, but the numbers aren't high enough to say anything for sure.

Just wondering.

I didn't want to watch the match on my desktop, so, I was delighted to find out that Match of The Day covered it in the evening. I wasn't online at the time of the game.

IMHO, the match wasn't worth the wait.
