birthday wishes from my web host

Well, the only "person" who wished me happy birthday was my web hosting supplier and a forum that I'm a member of. Both were auto-generated messages but I didn't care because they were the only birthday wishes I got!
My wife is very forgetful and this is the not the first time she's forgotten my birthday. Therefore my son also forgot because he needed his mother to remind him it was Dad's birthday; my mother wished me happy birthday earlier in the week so I guess she thinks her duty was discharged at that point, no need to go on and on about it.
So I didn't delete the auto-birthday messages because you can't be too fussy in life.

Happy birthday, callivert. I run communities, some of which send automated birthday emails. It's not uncommon to get a detailed thank you with a story much like yours!
