Celebrity chef Keith Floyd has died following a heart attack, aged 65.He died at his partner's home in Dorset after the heart attack on Monday night, according to the ghost-writer of his autobiography, James Steen.

He was famous for drinking wine during his cookery shows on TV. His shows were always shambolic but were good fun to watch. He will be sadly missed by many.
Sorry too, to see that the BBC don't seem to know very much about Floyd at all and only want to concentrate on his business failures and personal shortcomings. For example, there's no mention that over the last couple of years he'd been running an award winning restaurant in Thailand. No mention of the fact he did something like 20 series on TV or that he authored as many if not more books
Nothing either of his adventures in France, either as a wine merchant cum antique dealer and restauranteur.
I shall make a point this evening of watching a couple of episodes from one of his many culinary series.
Without bon vivant's and raconteur's like Floyd the world is a much duller place.
