Paying my Sprint bill.

Spaces for 'Amount Enclosed'.

I shake my head every time I fill out the amount enclosed and pay the cell phone bill. It has little boxes for each digit; complete with $ _.___.___.__

Yes, if a really heavy usage month, there is room to confirm a payment amount of just short of 10 million dollars.

People still pay bills by sending checks in the mail? :)

Some of the biggest companies have some of the worst and least reliable websites. Some bills I pay by mail. I pay lots of bills online, but there are several big, big companies where I feel much more comfortable sending a check. I should probably leave it at that.

I think it is just wishful thinking on Sprint's part... or perhaps they use the same bill for big corporate accounts that might pay that much.

It would be interesting to put a different number there to the amount on the cheque and see what happens.

Interesting in the form fields indicated do not seem to include penny amounts. I hate companies that round my bills! :)

I pay bills by check. Didn't for years but got a little paranoid with all the hacker breaches and compromised CC numbers.

I had most of my bills set up on auto-pay. Figured, hey, I don't even have to worry about it now as long as I keep enough in the account. That used to be easy to do.

These days not so easy.

Is there a week that goes by that we don't hear about another company being hacked or otherwise being breached for X million customers? These are only the ones that we hear about.

I assume that I have already been completely breached but just not used yet. I keep minimum amounts in checking and savings, parking money in CDs and other instruments that are less liquid and less accessible. Run my credit reports on a fixed schedule.....only so much one can do. Check is no more risky than the risk on any other method on any other bill. I pay many bills. There are many potential points of failure.

And no LESS risky either, yet people perceive it as "safe".
