Umbrellas

Had the pleasure earlier this evening of popping into London to buy some shoes, well you can imagine Central London , end december, and pissing down with Rain.

It was like an ASSAULT course, ducking and diving from Umbrellas, all shapes and sizes with People who have NO idea what they are doing.

To say it was frightening would be an Understatement.

Even saw 1 lady, whose Umbrella was in such a bad state, that She should be Arrested for carrying an offensive weapon in a public place (more like a Sword, especially when it missed my eye by about 10cm)

I know what you mean. I was in Oxford Street yesterday and had to dodge umbrellas and huge puddles. It was a nightmare.

He he one thing i dont miss about the UK! ;)

...not many umbrellas needed in Spain... :P

If someone walks straight at me with a big umbrella which looks as if it is about to poke my eye out I simply hold my hand up and give the umbrella a gentle push out of the way. People usually just say:"oh, ever so sorry"... Its a bit harsh but it works- you've got to have some consideration for your fellow pavement users.

Try clutching your eye and screaming at the top of your voice....not subtle but the offender will certainly take more care in the future! ;)

Works if they dont poke you in the eye as well.....

I saw some kids with unbrellas this morning, there even worse than the adults with brollies because they dont care wether they poke your eye out or not, little S**ts!

Hmmm, sounds like a good scenario for a video game... Waves of little old ladies with sharp umbrellas coming at you. Better find that rocket launcher! ;)

JOAT - Don't know about up there but here on the Costa Blanca you'd need a boat sometimes when it rains. Not often, but when it does it comes all at once
