My Emotional Favorite - India
My Logical Favorite - Australia
My humble opinions -
Australia -> Currently on a roll and is probably the most consistent team around.
South Africa -> They have the advantage of playing on their home turf and that could turn out to be disadvantageous too. I think they will reach the semis and choke to death (as usual).
India -> Currently ranked No.3 in ESPN Cricket ratings. Has the best batting line-up (on paper). If they survive the NewZealand tour, they will be a force to reckon with.
England -> Hee Hee Haw Haw! I wonder if players are allowed to bring their crutches and wheelchairs to the playground.
Pakistan -> Not the same class as the old Imran Khan's team. Very inconsistent.
New Zealand/West Indies/Sri Lanka -> The dark horses that could spring a surprise or two.
India and Pakistan will struggle with the bouncy pitches.
If anyone is going to knock Aussie out it will most likely be us (New Zealand) as we always seem to play above ourself when we play our cousins across the drink and we don't have the psychological problems of being thrashed by them as England, Sri Lanka and other countries have over the last few years.
it will most likely be us (New Zealand)
Is Cairns playing? I hear he is fit enough to bat. That should prop up the NZ team.
Hey.. But don't read too much into the current India-NZ series. India is a great confidence-booster for the opposing teams. That's actually their World Cup Strategy to put the opposing teams into a false sense of security. :)
What a match, Lance Klusener rocks.
I agree the above would be a good final, as Pakistan will probably gamble their game away as usual.

My money would be on Australia, or India. I'd like the Windes to show up, but that's highly doubtful.
Yeah.. I think Canada has pretty good chance of winning the world cup. However they gotta beat Oakland Raiders and Jets if they want to be in the reckoning ;)
Now seriously, its only 25 days to the World cup. Any idea where South Africa is with respect to time zones? I bet I need to wake up at 3:00 AM to catch a match.
South Africa is 7 hrs ahead of EST., as someone asked.
I hope some of the games are broadcasted up here.
And, thanks for having me.
