Shadow cone
Used to minimize the direct illumination of a neutron detector by placing it between a neutron source and the detector. This method allows for an accurate background determination, i.e., the scattering of neutrons from the floor, ceiling etc. into the neutron detector can be measured and subtracted off from the counts measured in the neutron detector without the Shadow Cone in place.

btw, first i wanted to use Space Star Neutron Detector Array but i was afraid that it is too easy to guess...
I think this is the correct url, they must be
