who turned off the email?

Even spam is slow

Hi all,

I have a moderate amount of spam filters, but some always squeak through, but the the last couple of days it's like someone has turned off the email servers ;~) I normally get over 50 emails a day, the last couple of days hardly even any spam, today five emails total. Anyone else seeing a dramatic drop in email traffic? And yes everything is working ( had test messages sent to me)

My spam has been down, too... but I also have fairly aggressive spam filters in place. Operate a number of e-lists so mail is heavy (100-150 daily). But I find this an interesting comment since elsewhere (Register IIFC) recently posted a report of all time high in spam.

I'd heard that as well, but spam is pretty much gone here with the exception of bank pishing. Overnight not one email came in, I've been online since 1996 and I can't remember that every happening before. Strange, spooky and unnerving.......
