Have you noticed the number of times the url shorteners have failed to connect recently. Or is it just me.

There have been more rumblings lately from disgruntled webmasters about blocking tinyurl and its brethren.

I know that a supplier of short urls dropped out of that market recently. Haven't noticed any problems with Tinyurl but I seldom have occasion to use them myself.

Identification of the destination is another issue of concern. It's too easy to drop spammy, trojan-loaded junk into one of those.
