Ohio man charged with drunken driving on bar stool [boston.com]

Wygle told police his motorized bar stool can go up to 38 mph.

I freely admit that I didn't read the story.

But I did look at the date of the post.

The story itself is dated 31 March and was carried by at least one daily paper in the UK.

Love the wheelie bar, with shock absorber. LOL . . .

He will probably lose his barstool license.

I've heard the judge is newly qualified. He used to be a bar steward.

What I thought was hilarious is that he admitted to drinking but still pleaded not guilty and requested a jury trial. If you were a juror, could you keep a straight face during a trial?

Maybe he should have called 911 [webmasterworld.com].

Guess it all depends on how far they take seeking his "peers" for jury duty. If they all own and operate a motorized bar stool to go and have a drink they might be sympathetic to his case.

OTOH his lawyer might use the insanity plea :)
