Although people of all categories can be found in all careers, there are strong statistical correlations with certain lines of work. Scientists/inventors are often INTJ or INTP types (introverted, intuitive, thinking, and either perceiving or judging). People in the helping professions are often ISFJs. Sales people are often ESFJ, and so on.
Here's a simple version of the Myers-Briggs [humanmetrics.com] (the real thing is many pages long and is licenced only to professional psychologists). What types to we have here at WebmasterWorld? I would guess something of a bimodal distribution with the more computer-geekish people in the INT- area and the e-commerce/sales people in the ESF- area. But that's a guess.
RJO (INTJ)
(From years ago.)
ENTJ: "I'm very sorry, but you have to die."
INTJ: "I don't understand why you haven't been killed already."
INTP: "Wow, look at that cool guillotine."
ESTJ: "You there, kill him."
ISTJ: "I have completed all the paperwork for your execution."
ENFP: "What does one wear to an execution?"
INFP: "I'm sorry, but ... hey, look at that butterfly over there!"
ESFJ: "I assure you we will follow all the correct procedures for your execution."
ISFJ: "I promise to take good care of your children."
I think there were some more, but those are the ones I remember coming up with.
INFP: "I'm sorry, but ... hey, look at that butterfly over there!"
ROFL!
We INFP's are not that easily distracted from the subject at hand! Now had you said, "I'm sorry, but ... hey, look at that new, vacant apartment building over there with running water and everything!" ... well that's a different matter. Perhaps I could be distracted by that!:)
Can't believe I am the only INFP here. Guess I am special [charlesgilchrist.com]!
I'll leave the men to beat each other senseless with sticks. Makes it easier to walk in and claim their territory when the dust settles :)
I just answered the questions as best as I could based on gut reaction. But wonder if I took it over if it would be any different.
Argh! Like there aren't a million variables there? What are we trying to do here? Which way is more effective? Does the "new way" involve more smelly and/or toxic chemicals than the traditional way? Does the traditional way involve imminent threat of bodily harm that can be avoided by using the new way? Can I get someone else to do it for me, either way? How am I supposed to answer true or false to a question like that?
