I did not know that such a thing exists?
USA Social security web office locator
is limited to office hours :)
This does not make any sense!
Under the new plans are they using stationary bicycles to generate energy which indeed will be limited to work hours?

The underlying issue here is your desire for a government website to make sense.

Shame on you.

I went up recently to pay my state scam vehicle tax. 3% charge for using CC. Guess standard merchant account TOS that you can't directly pass on costs don't count for them. $1.50 for a debit card. What's next, a fee for simply paying?

No charge for check which still had to cost them something more in labor, plus ACH/EFT charge. Very few checks that I write actually get presented; they are almost all converted.

No, they're using hamsters running on exercise wheels. It's part of the new national green energy grid for creating an efficient infrastructure to reduce reliance on Alaskan oil.

Nope- the SPCA shut that project down. As part of the new Stimulus plan, people will be allowed to postpone foreclosure as long as they man the treadmills.

Hey- it's a "convenience fee" not a direct cost. (i.e., it's more "convenient" for them to charge you the 3% fee than trying to get the legislature to raise the fees 3% for everyone else as well to cover it.) Any time I see crap like that, I go out of my way to make more work for them (e.g., paying by check).

My life insurance does that. They deduct an admin charge whenever I send a payment.

I will definitely have to try that tonight.

Glad to know that people who make money know how truly greedy the government is. Everyone else doesn't seem to.

sorry, but slightly off topic. Was making an online purchase from a well known retailer. It wasn't until the final stages of the order that it informd me you can only order during office hours, it then presented me with opening times...

I mean, come on, wake up, sack the pen pushers.

I can see the point in only processing orders during opening hrs, but what they are doing is just plainly without merit.

Rant over...

Mack.

I could sure use some of that global warming over here. It's about 20 degrees outside. Any suggestions on how I can speed up this process?

Walk with swim fins so your carbon prints could grow
