Smashing Magazine have done a great article about the 10 harsh truths about corporate websites and I just sat here going "Yep, yep, yep, yep".

It's nice to know that I'm not the only one who feels like I'm bashing my head against a brick wall all week.

Bounce rate for my own ecommerce sites: 15.2%
Bounce rate for the company I work for: 51%

Why don’t they ever listen to me? :-(

Not here my friend...

i work for one of the largest companies in my state...

21.47% site bounce rate according to my G Analytics.

i would prefer to be below 20%... in progress.

i did however only disagree with one point... and i dont know that i disagree or have another idea...

my position is in marketing. and i manage all content that goes on our corporate site.

but i was a developer before this.

so i know the best of both worlds... i know how to communicate with the development team becuase i can speak .net and CSS... etc. etc...

and i know marketing, becuase that is natural to me for some weird reason...

so i help facilitate between the two departments....

my dream job essentially.
