The problem is, even I can not work out what the heck I have been writing.

One of the reasons I first go 'into' computers was that my handwriting was terrible.
Last night I was reviewing some notes I made and couldn't read more than every third word.
I have almost forgotten how to use a pen - it was just a scrawl - in fact I can type faster than I can 'hand write'.

LOL MacG - Intelligent people like doctors and SEOs always have bad writing - the brain works quicker than the hand ya see. I never trust someone who writes slow and tidy:)
Never trust ANYONE!

I remember I used to write cursive, but I slowly moved to all capital letters - I don't know when the transition happened. The other day I had to write something using cursive, and I was shocked, I could hardly do it -- I was actually struggling to get something down on the paper.
I thought to myself, this is really sad, I could write better when I was 10 years old.
My signature is so bad, that my wife always makes fun of it, pretty soon it will be only a straight line.
Speaking of xmas cards, that is why I have a wife.... well, not the only reason :)
2. Sign your name multiple times with at least a 1/2" of space between each one vertically.
3. Head to your local Kinkos or some other outlet that offers self inking stamps. Select the best looking signature from the sheet you signed and have a stamp made.
4. Make sure to choose blue as your ink color.
5. Keep it locked up in a secure place.
I too, along with many others, have noticed a decline in our ability to write. I'd prefer not to have to pick up a pen anyway! ;)

The highest paid professor at my university had the nicest hand-writing I've ever seen. It was so nice, almost freaky.
He left his post of chair of math department to go overseas to do some research on real-time model approximations or something like that.
Go figure.
