Totally unoptimized site - is this strange?

Don't really want my personal site found.

I own a few different domain names for personal use. I bought a couple for other people who decided they didn't want 'em and a couple for personal email purposes.

There's a domain that I've had for about 4 years now that I've never really done much with - I finally wanted to use it for my primary email.

So I set up my email, got that all working, and built one page.

There's no point to this page other than to catch people who are either (a) randomly typing the domain name in, or (b) getting emails from me and wanting to check out what my domain is.

So I put up 2 images - One big image that is just image mapped to death and one small image that includes an email address. No text at all on the page whatsoever. A non-helpful page title. No meta.

I love this page. I made it for ME. And if you came to the page, you'd say, "Wow, this person doesn't know the FIRST THING about SEO." Then again, you might come to my business page and say the same thing. Hm.

Do you guys ever do something like this or are all of your personal pages optimized to the nines?

BTW, the URL isn't in my profile, but there is enough information in every post of mine to find it. ;)

The best laugh will be when 1 of the spam SEO companies decide to send you an email saying they could help get your site found on 300,000 search engines.

The proof is in the pudding :)

well I get the feeling "Sarah" prefers me, as day and night she is typing those emails to get me to at least respond to her :)

I have a "personal" site too -- mainly a place where friends in the know can download photos and such like.

The Robots.txt says, in effect, " whoever you are, go away"

And every page has:
<meta name="robots" content="noindex,nofollow">

So far, I'm in only one search engine -- and it's not Google.

I must try your suggestion -- first page is a blank doorway. that might send that spider away too.
