setting up my new laptop. HELP

the colours on my new screen are not as I want. I have an ati radion.

What is a typical setting for

gamma?
brightness?
contrast?

I cant seem to hit the nail on the head.

When in photoshop red just does not look red.

I sat there for around 20 minutes tinkering its ok now but still not as good as my pc monitor.

I was surprised that Icouldnt find an easy answer through the net.

Google "lcd calibration images" and find a bunch of sites which help toward achieving good configuration. Keep in mind that all LCD screens are generally brighter than CTR.
